Cedar offers a version of classic Thai dishes prepared Chinese style. The food is very flavorful and the portions are well sized. The restaurant is a bit small but well decorated with an enjoyable dining atmosphere. I found the service to be a bit slow and the dishes were served haphazardly several minutes apart. The prices were very reasonable.

Good food overall, the tom yum (sea bass) and the pad Thai were quite good as well, with complimentary desert which was excellent. Service was good, the menus as comprehensive and ambiance was nice. Lots of seated space but can get busy.

Recommended. A very good Thai restaurant with tasty food and good services. Price and portion of food are also reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful to recommend menu. Menu can be customized according to the spicy level. Hope they can making more and more new menu in the future.

I had a fantastic dinner at Cedar! The shrimp pad Thai was absolutely incredible—a solid 10/10. I also tried the Yum beef, which was tasty but had quite a kick! They even offered a complimentary dessert of grass jelly ice. To top it all off, there was live acoustic music, which created a great atmosphere without being too loud. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Last day in Bangkok and found its 5.0 score of this restaurant near my hotel. Firstly we passed their front door and walked away because pictures showed outside of restaurant seemed not too attractive. However having thought about there should be a reason why 5.0 scored, we returned and decided to go in and try what’s going on there. Finally it proved our wrong in the first place. There was only our visit and staff English is not quite good but staff’s attitude and services are very friendly. Internal design and decoration are traditional and meaning something. Pictured menus were provided with prices in avoiding any argument due from miss communication. We ordered fried vegetables, fried crispy egg with crab meat and tiger prawn fried rice. From my deep heart, they were absolute delicious and tasty. Fried vegetables were super green and fresh. Fried crispy egg was really crispy and crab meat wrapped by egg is super amazing taste. Tiger prawn fried rice gave tastes of Chinese fried rice style and Tiger prawns are fresh and speechless on tasting. They also treated us two seaweed soup for free. Particularly prices are more than reasonable and CP value is super high. Definitely must try if you are around Ekkamai area.

I didn't quite know what to expect given the high ratings here but overall I was pleased because the tastes were authentic, which is what I'm looking for at this type of restaurant. The pork belly was my favourite - 5 stars. The crab was fine but quite expensive - 4 stars. The signature cabbage was also authentic but nothing special. Normally I would expect dried shrimp in this dish - 3.5 stars.

Modern Thai restaurant with a Chinese-Thai fusion twist and a cozy bistro vibe. We ordered fried rice, tom yum soup, vegetables, and tofu — every dish was delicious, full of wok hei from high-heat stir-frying. We ended the meal with a refreshing grass jelly dessert. Definitely coming back next time!
